ELITE PROGRAMS. AN OVERVIEW:
Elite programs are designed for students who wish to pursue a career in the performing arts industry. Whilst we appreciate dance is an extracurricular activity to academics, we also expect that students within the program have a vested interest in pursuing dance in some form, as a career. With this, we expect full commitment to the program & training at the home studio.
The ETP & EPP have a comprehensively thought out timetable; students will benefit from all areas of dance performance, as well as the opportunity for various add-on classes, performances & workshops.
Troupe, solo, duet & trio work is available within the elite programs, which perform at various novice & intermediate level competitions. There is also the opportunity to undertake elite training without performing at competitions.
**Entry into the ETP, EPP, Part-Time Elite, Elite Performance Squad, Solo/Duet/Trio/Quad work for competitions & troupe classes within the ETP are strictly by audition only. **
ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM (ETP)
The ETP is a specialised program where students take classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Lyrical/Contemporary, Pilates & Conditioning.
Students who compete with the ETP will also have troupe, solo/duet/trio/quad classes where applicable.
PART TIME ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM (ETP)
The same as the ETP, however the part time elite program allows those who feel they cannot commit to the training hours & requirements of the full program continue to train at an elite level with a lesser load.
Students must partake in x2 Elite Ballet classes, Workshop class (Intermediate & up), x1 conditioning or pilates & one style class (jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop) for the part time program. All other classes can be taken as fit.
Students can also choose to be a part of the Performance Squad with the part time elite program if they wish to maximise performance opportunities.
Students are not able to partake in competitions in the part-time ETP.
ELITE PERFORMANCE SQUAD (EPS) (NEW FOR 2022)
This is designed for students who want to train at an elite level, while also maximise performance opportunities without committing to competitions. This squad will learn and perform routines of various styles at a quick turnover to encourage quick adaptation and develop fast performance skills. Students will be pushed to display exceptional performance qualities with a reduced rehearsal period, much like what is faced in the industry of performing arts.
ELITE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM (EPP) (TRAVELING ELITE TEAM)
Developed in 2019, this is a small team who display 100% commitment to their performing arts studies. Entry into the team is strict & dependant on the dancer's overall commitment.
We strongly believe in developing whole, well-adjusted dancers who are trained to adapt to situations greater than the state they live in. Creating a game-changing option, we know that that by providing the opportunity to dance & travel, the realm for learning extends far greater then the dance studio walls & the lessons will be endless.
